Nepenthes of
I recently had a computer crash. I’m not good with computers and this
site is entirely made using “Word”.
It seems that some links are now wrong, you think you go to a page and
you’re brought to another.
I haven’t the capability (and not even time or will) to change and
repair the whole amount of links of this website,
which is slowly becoming quite an old machine, ready to be transformed
in a book.
If you’re looking for a precise page and it doesn’t open, you’d better
use Google
(for example looking for: “Trat” “Nepenthes”), that will inevitably send
you to my pages J

My name is Marcello
Catalano. I'm not a taxonomist but just a Nepenthes grower. That's why all the
personal opinions that I will express on this site, about the taxonomy of the
plants involved or about anything else, don't have to be considered as
scientifically approved but just as thoughts coming from a very curious mind.
This site is rough,
wild, hard to explore and to understand, exactly like its argument...

30 april 2008 – the new N. bokor is in process of being published by M.
Cheek, read François Mey’s report on the Cambodia map;
N. kampotiana is now considered by Cheek a species on itself (personal
communication Dec. 2007), the whole website has been changed in this sense,
give a look to the “conclusions so far”, at
the bottom of “a long research”, on the Cambodia map, on the x-plants
page and the Trat page; I removed “Nepenthes of
Laos” because for ages it was based on a single plant that we don’t even know
where it comes from!
