Thanks a lot to:

Tanja. She was with me during my second trip to Thailand, she went up and down from those mountains together with me, she had to live with the cockroaches with me and everything else that you read on the maps I did it with her. Unfortunatly she wasn't with me on the way to Thung Non Son, she waited at the headquarter and found out about the digital pics that you see in the Thung Saleng Luang note. Fortunatly she starts liking carnivorous plants. It's very important to have someone near you who doesn't complain too much and helps you when you're down, especially when you're so far from home, and for two months. By the way, the pink nails in the front page are hers, and that specimen of N. smilesii, the best one, was found by her.

Gabriele. He was with me for the first ten days of the 2006 trip. When we planned our trip the idea was that he had to stay for 2 months. Then he changed his mind and told me he just wanted to stay 1 month. Then, while we were there, he changed again so many times that eventually he just remained 10 days. Well, thanks for those ten days of good company. When he left, a new girlfriend and some other personal matters back in Italy being produced as the main reasons of his departure, I suddenly felt quite depressed. But then a mix of anger, aggressiveness and curiosity for such a hard, crazy but pioneer adventure helped me to go on, even harder than before, and following my own pace of living.

Martin Cheek. Everything started because of him, its explanations and that N. smilesii at Kew. He was very helpful, even when not present, and I'm sure he will be again in the future.

Jan Schlauer. He gave me the instruments to start my research with a good basis. And I'm sure he'll be quite happy about this site, he's the only one who answers to the few questions (one question every 12 months) that cp people do about Nepenthes of Thailand.

Kent Faust. Thanks Ken! Ken is a great person, from Sweden, who spends six months every year in Thailand. I met him during my first trip and he helped me to spend three months alone without becoming crazy. I found him again during the second trip and I'm sure I'll meet him the next time as well. He has long, blond rasta hair, nearly close to his feet. He's buddhist and he looks a little bit like Asterix, and he's a relative of the Roxette's female singer!!

Luigi, Ciappi, Tarzan, Lucky, Sheeba. They are the really good ones. Good luck my friends.

The Versaille Mansion. And all its staff, including Sven. They've been my family while in Phitsanulok, they helped me a lot for my research (see the maps!) and ...the cake was great! The place is clean and cheap, go for it when you're there! Lavida, I lost your email, tell me when you'll be able to go to some national park!!

Robert Cantley, who believes in me. Together with Diana Williams he's helping the genus Nepenthes to survive to the human race.

Dr. Pooma of the BKF in Bangkok, he shared with me his knowledge about neps in Thailand without any problem, for the pure pleasure to help me in my research.

Mrs. Air of the BKF, national parks section, she was very fast and smart, she found for me the maps that you see on this website and she gave me the phone numbers of the national parks that I couldn't find on the web.

Heiko Rischer, for the Hemsley's original description of N. smilesii and because he's one of the maybe three people all over the world who are interested in neps from Indochina. We'll work a lot together in the future, I'm sure. So thanks in advance.

Tom Kahl, Dave Evans and Trent Meeks of the WildJungle forum. The more we are, the more things we can discover.

Julien Jedrusiak, thanks for the pics and infos about N. smilesii at Kirirom np, in Cambodia

Shigeo Kurata, a Nepenthes authority. He shared with me his information and photos of N. sp "Viking", the new species he's now going to describe as N. globosa.

Nong, Duke and Thi Yam, Thai Nepenthes lovers, they're helping me with their pics and knowledge directly from the Land of the Smiling People. Local people can give the biggest help in this undertaking, they're the only ones who can move easily in such an exotic and unique place.

Agent Niky hopefully will be my alter ego in Thailand. Her identity will remain a secret, but in a close future you’ll see a lot of news coming from her. She helped me a lot while I was there in 2006.
